Welcome to my home page. --
I've been taking pictures since 1975 and in 1982, I decided black and white photography was my true calling.
I use the zone method for exposure and process
prints to archival standards. My photographic interest include early industrial machines,
classic cars, steam engines, and motorcycles. Living in the Detroit area, I have spent
a lot of time at the Henry Ford museum and Greenfield village in Dearborn MI
photographing the historical buildings and industrial artifacts. I also have an extensive
portfolio of classic car images and I recently started
photographing motorcycles.
I started this odyssey of photographing man made objects when
I did a study of industrial machines. I was intrigued by the texture of the metal
and the geometric shapes. I carried that close-up theme to classic cars and motorcycles subjects, to
convey to the viewer an appreciation of their beauty and our fascination with anything mechanical.
