John F. Bush's photographic career spans more than 20 years. He is a self-taught Fine Arts photographer,
who became interested in photography in 1975. His initial 35 mm camera work included nature, landscapes, and auto racing. In 1980, his photographic interest changed to medium format black and white photography because of its control and creative flexibility. This appealed to his engineering background and creative endeavors. His work now includes landscapes, details of nature, antique automobiles, motorcycles, and industrial machine art.
His work has been exhibited several local Public Libraries, County Community Colleges, and the Sterling Heights City Hall. His work has been selected for exhibition in the Scarab Club Michigan Photographic Exhibition, Michigan Friends of Photography MEMBERS' EXHIBIT #4, Selfridge Air National Guard Photography Contest, and the Macomb Arts Council Annual Photography Exhibition.
His industrial object photographs were featured in a one-man show at the Pierce Street Gallery, Birmingham, MI. And he was a metal winner in the 26th Annual Michigan Photography Exhibition. Mr. Bush is a member of the Michigan Guild of Artists and Artisans and the Flint Photographic League.
